La Direction de la Conformité analyse et maîtrise les risques de non-conformité, diffuse la culture de conformité au sein notre entreprise, définit les actions de prévention et de sensibilisation à la gestion des risques, atteste et garantit la conformité de l’Entreprise lors des audits de certification ou de suivi.

 

 

Vos missions

 

With reference to the Corporate & Commercial Business (“GC&C”) operating within the French legal entity of Generali, and in line with the organisational governance, the GC&C International Sanctions Officer shall report to the local  Responsible “Sécurité Financière” (Generali France), and the GC&C Head of Anti-Financial Crime, working closely with the business teams unit. 
The GC&C International Sanctions Officer shall be in charge of managing risks related to International Sanctions within the French GC&C business; ensure compliance with national and international sanctions regulations and laws, while helping to protect the company's reputation and support business delivering on business plan in a compliant manner. 
GC&C France is writing traditional P&C lines (Property, Casualty, Engineering Lines) as well as specialty market lines (Financial Lines products, Cyber and Marine) 
GWP portfolio circa 200M€, written through mainly Global Brokers (AON, MARSH, WTW,..) and Second tier /Specialist brokers, while on occasion, some Multinational Programs, core of our value proposition, might be intermediated by other channels i.e. agents and/or regional brokers  

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Works very closely with the GC&C business units to understand the commercial business appetite and ensure they operate within accepted risk appetites and risk tolerances.
  • Provides advisory opinions to the French GC&C business units on escalated International Sanctions risks, in accordance with International Sanctions Group Guidelines.
  • Advises the French GC&C business units on the correct interpretation of the International Sanctions Group Guidelines.  
  • Guide, support and undertake some research and analysis throughout due diligence process, when needed, especially enhanced ones to ensure efficiency, in an agile compliant manner, aligned with market practices 
  • Escalates to the local Responsible “Sécurité Financière”, and the GC&C Head of Anti-Financial Crime any matters requiring senior review, apparent breaches requiring declarations to the necessary authorities. 
  • Involvement as a key stakeholder in any French GC&C business strategic projects that may have International Sanctions touchpoints, to provide advisory support and monitors the project to ensure alignment with Group Guidelines.
  • Conduct analysis of the International Sanctions risks for French GC&C business units, taking into account the specificities of intermediaries, customers and transactions.
  • Monitor changes in International Sanctions and provides notification and advice to on the French GC&C business units on the impact of such changes to their business. 
  • Oversees and implements the French GC&C risk assessment and second level controls, adopting Group level methodologies and standards.
  • Aligns with the GC&C French business units on the progress of internal audits, or external audits and inspections.
  • Oversee the adaptation and drafting of any local policies and procedures to be cascaded to the GC&C business units.
  • Provide a quarterly summary report to the GC&C Head of AFC of significant risks and remedial actions taken. 
  • Provide regular training to GC&C employees on International Sanctions law and regulation, and internal procedures.
  • Raise awareness of anti-financial crime issues among GC&C employees.
  • In general, provide support to the local Responsible “Sécurité Financière” on International Sanctions matters. 
  • In general, provide support to the GC&C Head of Anti-Financial Crime.

 

Profil recherché

 

  • With a degree in law, finance, international trade or related fields
  • At least four (4) years’ experience and knowledge of International Sanctions laws and regulations, especially in respect of EU, UK, US and French regimes. 
  • Experience and knowledge of commercial non-life insurance in Compliance, Risk, Legal, or Financial Crime roles. 
  • In-depth knowledge of international sanctions and asset freezing regulations
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Solution-orientated mindset
  • Well organised and fast learner
  • Uses initiative and can ‘self’starter’
  • Good analytical and synthesis skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • French and English language is essential. Other languages are a bonus.
  • Interest in occasional travel and undertaking personal learning & training.
